At Take the Cake Cupcakes we can design one-of-a-kind gourmet wedding cupcakes, cakes and desserts to capture the essence of one of the most memorable days of your life. Which flavors of cupcakes, pies or cookies can I chose for my wedding?
Our cupcake menu changes each season and we have many flavors available each season. You can choose a variety of flavors, even those we don't currently have on our menu. Our other desserts have a standard menu available year-round with many flavors to choose from!
Can you customize the cupcake decoration to match the theme of my wedding?
Yes, we can! This is what we enjoy doing and what makes weddings so special. We work closely with you and those who are helping you plan your wedding to create just the right cupcake and presentation for your event. We'll work with wedding planners and florists to integrate floral arrangements and other special touches to the presentation of your cupcakes.
Do you require a minimum order?
No, we do not. Understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all wedding, we are set up to accommodate large weddings, as well as the intimate backyard-wedding with just a few close family members and friends.We can also provide you elegantly decorated, custom cupcakes that complement your wedding, rehearsal dinner, wedding shower, bachelor party, bachelorette party, bridal tea, or engagement party.
Do you offer tastings or a way to sample your desserts?
Yes, we do offer tastings. Once you have decided you want to have Take the Cake at your wedding, contact us to set up a time to schedule your flavor tasting. A 50% non-refundable deposit of your wedding order is due at your flavor tasting.
What can I expect to pay for desserts? Do you offer price breaks? The cost of having our desserts at your wedding is based on a number of factors as you might imagine - number of cupcakes ordered, intricacy of customization, set up and delivery requirements, etc. Our cupcakes are $28 per dozen. Other event desserts are priced per guest and range from $1 - $3 per guest.
Do you make cakes and cutting cakes?Yes, we have expanded our menu to include wedding cakes and cutting cakes to go along with your cupcakes! The possibilities are endless when it comes to size, flavor and decorations for cakes. If you can dream it, we can bake it! We encourage you to contact us to discuss your cake options!
Do you handle delivery and set up? Do you have displays available for rent?
Yes, to all! We can handle delivery and set-up if you desire. We also have a variety of stands available to create a gorgeous display. We are one of the only cupcake shops in the area who can offer this! We price each of these services separately, so that if you don't need us at any point in the process, you can save the money and use it toward a fabulous honeymoon! Pricing is as follows:
Delivery: $25 per every 100 desserts within 25 mile radius. For destinations further than 25 miles, please contact us for more information 319-892-0174.
Set-Up: $25 per every 100 desserts
Stand Rental: $25 per every 100 desserts
Do you do out-of-state weddings and events?
We are available for out of state events based on location and availability. We are experts at traveling with our cupcakes and can work with you to make your wedding dessert dreams come true. We have ventured across the state of Iowa and as far as Florida, so we are happy to travel. Certain restrictions do apply, so please contact us to discuss the possibilities!
